There are a number of decent places to eat in Ithaca. Just down the Commons from Simeons is an excellent Thai place, and the Indian food at nearby New Delhi Diamonds is fine if you're not put off by the "overlit diner" ambience.

We lived in Ithaca for three years back at the end of the 1970s and I can't remember eating at Simeons more than once. If you'd looked to the left as you left the restaurant, three floors up from the Mexican place across Aurora at the top of the Wanzer Block, you'd have been looking at our old apartment.
