Weird but not perfect

I'm a big fan and regular reader of Chuck Shepherd's News of the Weird. However, that doesn't mean I can't nitpick it.

In today's column, Chuck writes, "Gen. Than Shwe of Myanmar, leader of Asia's most authoritarian regime ..." Really? Myanmar (Burma) is more authoritarian than North Korea? The Burmese Generals have certainly been brutal rulers, but they haven't starved millions of their own citizens to death that I'm aware of.

This is mostly in the way of an excuse to recommend NOTW, of course. Give it a look.
